There have been several recent Archdale daylight burglaries. On one occasion the home owner returned for lunch and encountered a male intruder. A brief indoor scuffle ensued and the invader ran off with the home owner's cellular telephone, thus, delaying the calling of 911. Coincidental to one of these incidents was the observation of an older model gold or rust colored Mercedes sedan occupied by two unknown women that didn't seem to "belong". Another report involved an older model vehicle in the drive-way of a home that had a For Sale sign in the front yard, but nobody was seen "inspecting" the property. Please, be alert! Report vehicles that seem not to "belong". Digital photographs, especially of license plates would be beneficial. There have been several incidents of Paint Ball damage in the past several months. The most recent was at approximately 0400 this morning [2/10/09] on Knights Bridge, Sterling Forest, where numerous vehicles and homes were target with balls containing orange paint. Previous incidents included similar activity on Mansfield Blvd and The Commons condominiums on Archdale Blvd. Coincidental to these acts were reports of a black pick-up truck observed in the area.
